Jennifer is in her 30's and came to the UWMC from Alaska late February of this year, for a double lung transplant. Her caregiver, Mark, was a friend from her church. Mark volunteered a year of his time to come to Seattle and stay with Jennifer, while she waited for "the call" and while she recuperated from surgery. A single bedroom was not going to work for their situation.
